Everyone said it would happen - when you had your second baby, your first would seem so big. And that has been true for us - but this week, even more so. It seems each step Mason is taking lately moves him farther into independence and it just amazes me. I was preparing dinner this week and he wanted to cook too. He's been using his tools and fixing Miles Avery's bed all week. And today at playgroup, he played the entire time without any assistance from me - just happy to be doing his own thing. It's so exciting, but also so scary. I know God has a plan for his life - I'm curious to see what the future holds for him, but not in any hurry!
...that's how my family used to be described by my then four year old son (he's the medium one, baby brother is small, daddy is big and guess who - mommy - is the girl).

Medium is Big
