My pretty baby is such a big boy! Not big by health care standards (his weight is in the 10th percentile), but still, so big to me. And for those of you who have been wondering/dying of curiosity like we have - no, Miles Avery did not hit the 20 pound mark today (we even fed him a snack in the waiting room just before he weighed in). Apparently, babies are supposed to double their birth weight by their 4th month and triple it by their 12th month. Miles Avery weighed in at 7 lbs 9.1oz at birth, was a whopping 14 lbs 2oz at four months and today, just 19 lbs 12oz. You would think all that hair would account for some weight (the nurse did have some trouble getting the measuring tape around his head - it kept slipping off his shiny hair).

Aw, look at all those boo boo's from the shots. I hope he and you survived without being too traumatized. Neither of my babies were 20 pounds at a year either.
i think i heard miles screaming when he got his shots down the hall! he looks super healthy to me...certainly has healthy, pretty hair!! :)
