Last Saturday night, Mason invited Miles Avery to sleep in his bottom bunk - to which Miles Avery responded with a resounding yesssssss! So, for the past two nights, the boys have slept together on the bunk beds with no incidents. I feel like my plan is coming together - the plan that doesn't involved the involuntary booting of one child from his bedroom and crib, but the fun and excitement of sharing a room (and bunk beds) with your brother. Miles Avery looks so small on his bottom bunk - he lays there so still while we do our bedtime routine - like at any minute we're going to remember that he's supposed to be in the nursery in his crib. The past two mornings, they've come into our bedroom together - laughing and in the best mood. I hope the novelty doesn't wear off too soon!...that's how my family used to be described by my then four year old son (he's the medium one, baby brother is small, daddy is big and guess who - mommy - is the girl).
